Switching to HDOX

Switching to H-DOX from paper files is a seamless process and adopting HDOX for new patients is an instantaneous process. For ongoing patients whose historical data is on paper files, a user can create a patient snapshot of important historical data elements like allergies, medications, labs, habits, past medical history etc. The electronic patient snapshot can be created by the physician or the nurse practitioner. New patients do not require the historical paper trial.

You can also scan in your old paper files and attach to H-DOX document attachment function. The volume of old paper data that you move into EHR- depends mostly on the nature of your practice. Specialists who typically see a patient just once or twice don't have to worry about a wholesale data migration. Primary care physicians, however, need to access test results and medication lists found in the paper charts of several ongoing patients. How much old data you transfer to the EHR is a matter of preference.

To switch to H-DOX from a legacy software or previous EHR system is also simple. If you would like to transfer the data from your old EHR and migrate to the HDOX platform our xml data migration tool makes the process seamless. Whether your data is in flat files, text file format or relational format it will be converted to Portable and searchable XML and transferred to HDOX.
